Why We Created This Clinic

The Mind and Body Integrated Medical Clinic was created for a few reasons. Some of them were practical in the beginning others evolved on their own over time. One of the primary reasons that brought the Mind and Body Clinic into reality was the practical reason to combine Michael Eisner's new massage practice with Dr. Dana Eisner's General Practice, and Psychotherapy. By working under one roof the Eisner's could reduce overheads while living their personal mission to help people heal.

From that starting point the Eisner's began to research integrated medicine and look at how to offer a broader range of services. It made sense to start expanding the number of modalities because of the consciousness work they were doing and how they wanted to combine other practices together. It from this point the integrated part of Mind and Body began to grow.

One of the greatest differences for this clinic was having Dr. Dana Eisner as a General Practitioner, co-owner, and director of the clinic's management. Dr. Dana Eisner believes passionately that integration of many different practices will bring about improved healing.

How The Clinic Came To Be

2004 was a busy year when they found a property, took out a mortgage, and opened for business. The location was previously a clothing store which was mainly a large open space. In short order they began renovations and created multiple rooms which now include the “Buddha Room”, “Green Room”, “Classroom”, and Body Work room”. When you look for the clinic on Lakeshore you are certain not to miss it with it's calm and refreshing green exterior.

The logo took form as a result of the vision of combining East and Western traditions, and complimentary and traditional medical. After trying a few designs, the current logo was created and there was instantly a connection to it because it stood for all the ideals in integrated medicine. Many people have since found a similar connection with this logo.

Over the past 4 years the business has evolved from 4 practitioners to over 10. What fuelled the desire for expansion the was vision to have a wide variety services that allow the individual to choose what most naturally suits their needs. The variety of choices allows people to enjoy a one-stop-shop under one roof. Also, these past 4 years have been about pioneering the integration of multiple disciplines. With such diverse, yet complementary approaches, there has been a great deal of learning. Most client's will feel the very love and healing emanating from this wonderful dream that has become an ever growing and evolving reality.
