Dr. Hincapie is a chiropractor and health scientist. He attended the University of Toronto where he earned a Bachelor of Physical Education and Health with high honours. Following this, he completed chiropractic training at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and earned additional qualifications in Active Release Techniques (ART) and Clinical Acupuncture. His inquisitive nature led him to undertake graduate training through a Masters in Health Science (Community Health and Epidemiology), and his PhD in Epidemiology at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto.
He has published peer-reviewed scientific articles on low back pain, pain after motor vehicle injuries, dancers health, and mild traumatic brain injury and sport concussion. See list of publications here.
He is also a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Guideline Initiative, Guideline Development Group, whose vision it is to enhance the health of Canadians by fostering excellence in chiropractic care.
Recognizing the uniqueness of every individual, Dr. Hincapie focuses on a personalized, evidence-informed approach to healthcare. He uses chiropractic care, ART, acupuncture, orthotics, exercise and lifestyle counselling to facilitate recovery from injuries and promote optimal health.
Dr. Hincapie was born and raised in Toronto, and is of Colombian descent. He speaks English, Spanish and French, and lives in King West Village with his wife and four children.
